Mission Beach Getaway Bliss

After my last post about being inspired about Coastal decor and the beach I had a right treat when the In-Laws came to stay and took us and the kids away for a couple of days at a resort on one of the most beautiful remote beaches I have been to.

We drove about 2 hours from Cairns to Mission Beach and stayed at a place called 'Eco Village'.
We got one of the little apartment/bungalows nestled in the rainforest, about 3 feet from the swimming pool and about  100m from the beach. It was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing, even the kids were chilled out.

Here's a few pics of the room. Pretty good value for 4 adults and two children at $165 a night.

There was 2 double beds (in sperate rooms) a single bed and two bunks.
The beach I mentioned was absolutely amazing, it was completely unspoilt and like a little slice of heaven sitting there and listening to the ocean and seeing such beauty.

I was a mini bit scared that there could be a lurking crocodile mind, we are in Far North Queensland afterall.

We had a drive around, lunch in a cute little cafe. We saw a Green Tree Frog, a real life Cassowary wondering around on the side of the road, hundreds of Kangaroos sat under trees and hopping around the streets. It was amazing seeing so much wildlife.

The kids had a ball and has so far been the best and easiest trip we have taken as a family (unlike our honeymoon to Melbourne with them aka the nightmare lol)
We took heaps of toys and kept them busy with swimming in the pool and good quality time and attention, oh yes that was the other thing, NO phone signal and NO internet for 2 and a half days!! I realised I definitely spend too much time on my phone and really enjoyed not being online or on the phone.
Getting back to Nature and appreciating my family. Just Bliss!!
